What exactly is LED therapy? Well, it's a form of light therapy, also known as phototherapy or low-level light therapy. At Skin Lab, I use the Lightwave Led Therapy device because it offers many advantages when compared to other devices. The LIGHTWAVE System utilizes high-end Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) to distribute the Specific Wavelengths of light it radiates.    The application of LED to living tissue is non-invasive and provides a remarkable treatment alternative to traditional prescription medication and/or surgery.

Here's how the Micro-D Plus Topical Light Infusion Treatment works:

Preparation: The first 60 minutes is a Microdermabrasion facial or a European Facial to properly clean, exfoliate, and prepare the skin.  This step ensures that the TLI can penetrate into the skin evenly.  

This is followed by 12 min of RED LED Light to stimulate cellular metabolism.

​

Application: The desired Topical Light Infusion Treatment is applied over the face and neck, and then the LED Program pulses the active ingredients from the serum into the skin.

​

Penetration:  Most TLI programs are 20 minutes, which means altogether this facial treatment takes about 90-100 minutes. The Serum can stay on or can be removed. Hydrating products are applied for final finish.  

 

Stimulation: LIGHTWAVE is safe, simple, and easy.  After your Topical Light Infusion Treatment you should notice hydrated and dewy skin.  Since this treatment stimulates your body’s own collagen production for long-term benefits, the results of this facial are not only instantly noticeable, but the effects also accumulate with each treatment.  Each individual responds differently; some notice changes much more quickly than others.

There’s no downtime, except avoiding sweat for 12 hours.

It's essential to follow post-care instructions provided by yours truly to ensure optimal results.
